  Vincent Lecavalier to T.O.?

  Heard from several little birdies around the league and in Canada that Lecavalier is coming to the Buds. When asked for names possibly going to Tampa I got these: Antropov Battaglia Belak Bell Blake Devereaux Kilger Pohl Ponikarovsky Stajan Steen Sundin Tlusty Tucker Wellwood Colaiacovo Gill Karberle Kronwall Kubina McCabe White Any current Leafs prospects or picks Any players Toronto can manage to kidnap. Unfortunately (for both him and Toronto) no one wants Andy Wozniewski except the Leafs. What my sources were sarcastically saying is that no one on the Leafs roster or in their system is really untouchable when it comes to a player of Lecavalier stature.   More on the Imminent Changes

  The same sources who gave me yesterdays Colangelo tidbit have informed me that he has explicitly told the MLSE board that he has little to no interest in being president of the hockey club. (P4) Not much else coming out of the Big Smoke tonight, but after two wins in a row I expect the pressure from fans and media to lessen, but this being Toronto it won't disappear entirely. One more loss and we're back to those familiar screams for blood, and let us not forget the boys in blue almost threw one away tonight. (P5) Wink Wink. ...

  JFJ Replacement Imminent

  Hey sports fans, I've just got off the phone with no less then three reliable sources in Toronto that tell me the Leafs are going to fire JFJ. The plan in the interim for the MLSE board will be bringing back Craig Button as acting General Manager. Mr. Button will be charged with "clearing the deck", which they took to mean dismantling the current roster. (P4) As a side note one of those sources passed along this tasty little treat.
