- Celine Dion = Canada’s revenge for Streisand. Seriously, we were all in on it.
- I think Meercats are the cutest animals in the world… except for your family dog of course, who I’m sure does this thing that only you and your family know about that is like, oh my god, the cutest thing ever! Wait a tic. Fuck that, Meercats are totally cuter.
- I’m too negative a person most of the time.
- The most unholy sounds I’ve ever know have all come from within the men’s bathroom.
- I just saw a commercial for one of those text messaging services that will send a daily joke to your cell phone for a small daily fee. This particular service was “street” and promised to send you the most “off the hook” yo’ mamma jokes that were available. My question would be this, can any yo mamma joke truly be described as off the hook?
- Y’know those Gears of War commercials which have that Mad World song it them? The first time I saw them I thought they were a new and attention grabbing way of advertising for FPS (First Person Shooter) style games. The second time I saw them I thought, man, that song is kind of annoying but the game looks awesome! The third time I saw them I began hating the song and was tempted never to buy an XBOX 360 simply to spite the commercial. Now whenever they come on I’m consumed with a need to physically harm everyone involved with the production of that song, the game and the commercial for the game that features that song. Also, I have rage issues.
- You should probably check out Brett Dennen. If you live in Ontario then he’s the guy that sings the song in the Rogers commercial where the father lets his son stay up late to watch the “amazing goal”. I’ve heard the whole album and it’s pretty darn good. He has four songs available on his MySpace page, so if you’re inclined towards mellow acoustic love songs and such you should check him out.
- Actually, before you check out Brett Dennen you should find a copy of Ben Harper & The Blind Boys of Alabama’s “Live at the Apollo”, because this is how music is supposed to make you feel.
- Aren’t we past the point as a society where Microsoft PowerPoint Slideshows are acceptable forms of comedy or insightful commentary? Should not the PPS meme be retired forever?
- Is it me or does David Willis overuse the exclamation point a little when it comes to his titling his Webcomics? Do all four of his comics really need to be exclaimed?! Do they?! Answer me! Now!
- That being said, I really like David Willis’ comics. Just so we’re clear.
- Boobs. I’m just sayin’.
- I need to stop buying Berry Blistex just because I need lip balm and it’s there. Using it feels like coating my mouth in a vaguely berry tasting wax.
- The electric organ is my favourite instrument in the entire world.
- So, if you type French for Grapefruit into Google it’s now the third link from the top which is a huge, huge improvement for a site read by eight or nine people.
- If someone wanted to design a site banner for me, akin to what it looks like now but better I’d be much obliged. I’d do it but I have no visual style, which sucks but also explains why my website looks as simplistic as it does.
- I just read on the Internets that there exists a Canadian parlour game called “Pamplemousse”. I had no idea it existed and I can’t find any info on this game. Your mission, which you must except, is to help me find out how to play this game. My life is experiencing a serious dearth of parlour games, and for obvious reasons I’d like to learn this one.
